Changes to the Board of Directors at FPTCL
Posted On: May 01, 20261 May 2026, Suva, Fiji – Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Pte Ltd (FPTCL) announces changes to its Board of Directors, reinforcing its commitment to strong governance and strategic leadership. FPTCL acknowledges the retirement of Board Chair Ms Liliana Warid and Board Director Dr Isoa Siliasau. The Corporation extends its sincere appreciation for their dedicated service, leadership and valuable contributions during their tenure.
The Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Lorraine Seeto as the new Board Chair. In addition, Mr Andy Yuen has been appointed as a new Board Director, while Mr Uraia Rasake has been reappointed as Director. Mr Navneel Sharma and Ms Reshma Chand continue in their roles as Board Directors, ensuring continuity and stability in governance. FPTCL looks forward to the contributions of the refreshed Board as it continues to deliver effective and efficient trustee and estate administration services to all Fijians.
Retiring Board Directors
Ms Warid served as Board Chair from April 2023 till April 2026, providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Corporation. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening governance and supporting the Corporation’s growth. FPTCL sincerely thanks Ms Warid for her commitment and service.
Dr Siliasau served as a Board Director from April 2023 till April 2026 and contributed significantly to the oversight and direction of the Corporation. His insights and expertise have been highly valued. FPTCL extends its appreciation for his dedicated service. He was a member of the Audit, Risk and Governance as well as the Legal and Human Resources Subcommittees of the Board.
New Appointments
Ms Seeto has been appointed as Board Chair on 20 April 2026. She brings extensive experience and leadership to the role. Ms Seeto was appointed as a Director in July 2018. She holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific. Ms Seeto brings a wealth of experience in central banking, having served 38 years with the Reserve Bank of Fiji. She was the first female executive appointed at the Bank and held senior leadership roles, including Advisor to the Governors and Chief Manager. Lorraine has received numerous accolades, including the Woman in Business Award for Excellence and Commitment, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fiji Institute of Bankers and the 50th Anniversary of Independence
Commemorative Medal. She is the Managing Director of South Pacific Business Development Microfinance (Fiji) Pte Ltd, Independent Director of the South Pacific Stock Exchange Board and Boards of SPBD Microfinance Services and SPBD Microfinance (Fiji) Pte Ltd.
Mr Yuen is a professional specialising in project management and investment advisory with over 20 years of experience across property, real estate and capital market sectors. He has extensive experience in leading investment teams in development and enhancement of property portfolios, including both commercial and hospitality assets. Throughout his career, he has played a key role as an advisor and consultant to prominent real estate management and property development firms in Fiji. He has also served on the boards of listed and unlisted companies of several investment and property companies, contributing to strategic oversight and governance. Over the years, Mr Yuen has built a diverse portfolio of experience spanning capital markets, superannuation, real estate, project marketing, property management, telecommunications and in the aviation sector as a Licensed Investment Adviser. Mr Yuen holds a Master of Commerce, majoring in Finance from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Economics and Marketing) from the University of Sydney.
Reappointed Board Director
Mr Rasake has been reappointed to the Board, continuing his contribution to the Corporation’s governance and strategic direction. He was appointed as a Director in April 2023 and was also the Chair for Legal and Human Resources Subcommittee. He has a diverse background starting with over a decade of experience at the Ministry of Labour, Employment & Industrial Relations. He then transitioned into the tourism sector, where he held various positions with renowned international Hotel brands such as Sheraton (Starwood), Westin (Starwood), Warwick Group of Hotels, Pullman (Accor), Intercontinental Hotel (IHG) and Six Senses Fiji (IHG). He was also the General Manager Human Resources at the Fiji Development Bank and Director People, Culture and Capability at the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services. Apart from his professional roles, Mr Rasake has been involved in various boards, including the Fiji Tourism Board and the Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association.
Continuing Board Directors
Ms Chand remains a member of the Board, providing ongoing leadership and support in achieving the Corporation’s objectives. She was appointed as a Director in September 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountant with Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, with
20 years of experience in finance and auditing. She has held senior roles in the financial, corporate and manufacturing sectors and is currently the Head of Internal Audit at South Pacific Business Development Microfinance Services Ltd. She also serves as a Council Member of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and Treasurer of the Fiji Chess Federation.
Mr Sharma continues to serve on the Board, contributing to the Corporation’s governance and strategic oversight. He was appointed as a Director in July 2025. He brings with him over 20 years of extensive experience in the field of law, with a strong background in Legal Practice, Governance and Public Administration. He is a Notary Public and currently serves as Lecturer in Law at the University of the South Pacific, where he plays a key role in shaping the next generation of legal professionals across the Pacific region. In addition to his academic and professional commitments, Mr Sharma is currently pursuing his Doctoral
Studies in Law, further strengthening his expertise and research in legal field. Mr Sharma previously served as a Board Member of the Mataivalu Savings and Credit Union, where he contributed to the organisation’s strategic and governance functions. His vast experience reflects a deep commitment to the principles of good governance, integrity and public
service.
